Outpace Bio is at the forefront of cell therapy innovation, using advanced AI-powered protein design to create life-changing treatments for solid tumors. We are a team of scientists, engineers, and developers dedicated to overcoming the toughest barriers in cancer treatment, such as antigen escape and dose-related toxicity. Based in Seattle’s vibrant biotech hub, we foster a culture rooted in respect, inclusion, and innovation. With our recent $144 million Series B financing, we are accelerating our pipeline of programmed T cell therapies, including our lead candidate, OPB-101. We are looking for a motivated Director or Senior Director of Project & Portfolio Management to join us in this mission and help drive our programs from the lab into the clinic.
What you'll be doing
- Lead cross-functional program sub-teams by partnering with leaders in clinical, research, regulatory, and CMC to ensure the successful execution of development plans.
- Own program timelines and integrate functional workstreams into a comprehensive plan, while proactively identifying risks and driving accountability across the organization.
- Manage program budgets and resource allocation in partnership with finance, while serving as a key point of contact for external partners and vendors.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a life science, engineering, or business field, with an advanced degree like an MS, PhD, or MBA preferred.
- Between 10 and 15 years of experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, including at least 5 years of direct project and portfolio management in a scientific setting.
- Proven expertise in leading complex, cross-functional programs through stage gates, specifically with experience in IND filings and moving therapies from Phase 1 to pivotal development.
- Strong proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to translate complex technical information for both scientific and business audiences.
- A collaborative spirit with the ability to influence without authority and solve problems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What you'll get
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you and your family, including:
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Life and disability insurance.
- 401k plan with an employer match.
- Stock options.
- Flexible hours and paid time off.
