We are looking for an experienced Director of Website Operations to guide the growth and performance of Alarm.com’s digital presence. Alarm.com is the leading cloud-based platform for smart security and the Internet of Things, serving more than 7.6 million homes and businesses with solutions that incorporate AI, video analytics, and machine learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic web presence plan that aligns the site with business goals, brand standards, and cross-functional priorities.
- Lead and mentor a team of web developers, designers, and content managers while coordinating work across departments.
- Design and oversee an SEO-optimized, accessible content experience that maintains high quality through structured QA and maintenance processes.
- Monitor site performance with analytics tools and use data insights to improve traffic, load times, and user engagement.
- Implement new web technologies and design approaches that enhance usability and keep the site intuitive and engaging.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams on server management, code deployment, and technical troubleshooting.
- Establish and maintain security protocols and ensure ongoing compliance with ADA standards, privacy regulations, and industry best practices.
- Coordinate content updates across databases and servers in partnership with marketing, sales, and customer service teams.
- Integrate AI and emerging technologies to expand site capabilities and user engagement.
- Document processes and decisions thoroughly in Confluence.
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in web operations, web development, or a similar discipline.
- Several years of leadership experience managing teams and projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of website infrastructure, performance optimization, SEO, and security.
- Proficiency with content management systems such as Drupal, WordPress, and Craft, along with HTML, CSS, and web analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English.
