Role at a glance
We are seeking an executive-level Director of Software Engineering for AI Enablement to join our team on a full-time, hybrid basis. Based in the United States, you will work from one of our office locations in Cincinnati, Chicago, Deerfield, New York, or Portland. This role requires a presence in the office every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to foster our collaborative culture.

- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical maturity, continuous learning, and professional growth.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Data Scientists and Product Leads, to design and implement robust, scalable AI solutions and strategic prompting frameworks.
- Drive operational excellence by implementing industry-leading engineering practices, automation, and reliable architecture to ensure our AI platforms remain at the forefront of innovation.
What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you should be a forward-thinking leader who is comfortable challenging the status quo. We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Over 10 years of hands-on technical experience with a proven track record of leading and mentoring teams.
- Mastery of software development leadership, including Agile methodologies, Git, SOA, CI/CD, and Automated Testing.
- Strong proficiency in Python and FastAPI, along with experience in cloud environments like Azure.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex strategic visions to executive leadership.
- Fluency in English.
