We are the Golden State Valkyries, a growing sports and entertainment organization, and we are looking for a talented Director of Social Media to join our team. In this role, you will help elevate our brand presence and drive revenue by crafting and implementing innovative social media strategies. You will work alongside our Marketing and Content teams to build value for our organization, reporting directly to our SVP of Marketing and Communications. What you'll be doing

You will lead our overarching social media strategy, planning and executing campaigns across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, and Snapchat.
You will collaborate with our Corporate Partnerships team and various vendors to develop content calendars that meet our marketing goals and support our partners.
You will build and mentor a high-performing team, providing the guidance and professional development they need to succeed while keeping us at the forefront of digital trends.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 7 years of experience in digital media, including a strong background in leading social media strategy and execution. We are looking for someone with 1 to 2 years of people management experience and a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field. You should be proficient in Photoshop, HTML, and CSS, and have a deep understanding of the basketball landscape. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be presenting strategies and building relationships across the organization. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and maintaining a flexible schedule that includes some evenings and weekends.

What you'll get

We offer a salary range of $128,000 to $136,000, plus a bonus. In addition to your compensation, you will receive the following benefits:
