The role
We are looking for an experienced executive to join us as our Director of Product Marketing. This is a full-time, remote position designed for a strategic operator who thrives on bridging the gap between technical complexity and customer value. In this high-impact role, you will act as the strategic anchor for our product organization, personally driving the execution of our vision to position Lob as the premier, trusted partner for modern direct mail communication.
Core responsibilities
- Architect the solution narrative and launch strategy by owning the end-to-end go-to-market plan for new products and updates, ensuring our messaging drives adoption across the entire customer lifecycle.
- Drive revenue and sales velocity by partnering with leadership to build a scalable enablement machine, creating essential assets like competitive battle cards, objection-handling frameworks, and sales playbooks.
- Lead competitive strategy and market intelligence by conducting deep research to distinguish our value proposition against both legacy commercial printers and emerging programmatic solutions.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you should bring the following qualifications and expertise:
- At least 10 years of go-to-market experience, specifically within high-growth enterprise software or SaaS environments.
- A deep understanding of the API economy and the ability to translate complex technical documentation into compelling business value for non-technical leaders.
- Elite storytelling skills with a proven track record of distilling complex concepts into clear, energizing narratives.
- Extensive experience in competitive strategy, including the ability to conduct research and translate intel into winning sales plays.
- A data-driven mindset, comfortable using metrics like CAC, LTV, and pipeline velocity to justify decisions and optimize marketing spend.
- Executive presence and experience representing a brand at industry events, conferences, and media briefings.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools, such as Lovable, Figma AI, and Descript, to scale the creation of assets and prototypes.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this position ranges from $164,250 to $200,250, with an additional variable component of $18,250 to $23,500.
