As Director, Packaging Design, you will shape how that story looks and feels on shelves and in every physical touchpoint.
What you'll be doing
- Lead the creative development and regional adaptation of 2D and 3D packaging across every channel, translating global concepts into retail-ready solutions that perform at Sephora, Ulta, Amazon, and department stores.
- Direct the design and production of permanent and promotional packaging, merchandising units, POP displays, shelf signage, gift sets, and in-store collateral while overseeing external agencies, structural engineers, and vendors from first render to final execution.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Retail, and Global Creative teams on seasonal launches, 2D visual assets for OOH campaigns and events, and the day-to-day management of timelines, resources, and budgets that keep every project on brand and on schedule.
What you'll bring
You bring at least eight years of hands-on experience in 2D and 3D packaging and merchandising design, preferably within beauty, luxury, or lifestyle categories. Your portfolio demonstrates mastery of structural packaging, retail environments, and graphic execution, and you are fluent in the realities of materials, engineering, and print production across multiple substrates. You are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and bring working knowledge of 3D tools such as SketchUp, V-Ray, or Cinema 4D. You have partnered successfully with major U.S. retailers, led cross-functional projects from concept through shelf, and can present and defend ideas confidently to senior stakeholders. Strong project-management instincts, clear communication, and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset complete your profile. Fluency in English is required.
