We are currently looking for a Director of Structural Engineering to join our team in a full-time, hybrid capacity. This role is a vital leadership position that will help shape the future of our structural practice while collaborating with planners, designers, and project managers across our offices in California and Oregon.
Key outcomes
- Lead structural design efforts for multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring the successful delivery of specifications, cost estimates, and infrastructure designs for medium to large scale water and recycled water systems.
- Define the strategic vision for our structural engineering practice, which includes overseeing quality and knowledge management, refining internal standards, and spearheading professional training initiatives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level staff members to foster their professional growth and technical expertise.
- Drive recruitment efforts to expand our structural engineering team and capabilities.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation, including contract documents, design drawings, technical reports, and memoranda.
- Collaborate across the firm to leverage team strengths and identify opportunities for skill development.
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field.
- Current licensure as a California CE or SE, with SE preference.
- P.E. registration in both California and Oregon.
- Over 10 years of professional experience specifically in the design of wastewater or recycled water facilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to wastewater treatment infrastructure.
- A proven track record of delivering collaborative projects that meet client goals for sustainability, innovation, and operational efficiency.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage project scopes, fees, and complex technical documentation.
- A team-oriented mindset, coupled with the ability to work with autonomy and accountability.
- Fluency in English.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $150,000 to $210,000, depending on your experience. We support our employees with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a 401(k) plan and tuition reimbursement, alongside our flexible hybrid work environment.
