We are looking for a Director of Software Engineering to join our team full time on-site in India. Fictiv is the company behind the cloud platform often described as the “AWS of manufacturing,” using AI and machine learning to help hardware teams move at the speed of software and serve a global market valued at $350 billion. In this role you will lead our engineering organization in India, report to the Head of Software Engineering, and help shape both day-to-day execution and long-term technical direction.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale a high-performing engineering organization where every engineer can do their best work.
- Translate company strategy into clear initiatives, align teams around priorities, and deliver measurable results.
- Continuously refine processes for iterative delivery, system reliability, hiring, onboarding, and incident response while fostering a culture of transparency and growth.
Requirements
- At least 20 years of experience working in software engineering teams.
- Four or more years leading an engineering department at the Director level or above.
- Proven success as a technical leader for business-critical, cloud-based software systems.
- Experience in the manufacturing domain and a track record of building organizations that include multiple teams and managers.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent, including experience leading remote or distributed teams.
