Imagine a team of scientists, clinicians, and technologists working side by side to turn a simple blood draw into an early warning system for cancer. At Freenome, that vision is becoming reality. Since 2014 we have grown to roughly 400 colleagues who share one goal: give people the chance to find cancer at its most treatable stage. Our first test, aimed at colorectal cancer and advanced adenomas, is only the start of a broader effort to make routine, accurate screening available to everyone.
The opportunity
We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to help bring our first screening test into clinics across the country. Sitting within the commercial organization and reporting to the Senior Director of Market Insights and Planning, you will shape how healthcare providers and their patients learn about, understand, and ultimately adopt our multiomics blood tests. Your work will directly influence both the near-term launch and the long-term growth of a pipeline of future cancer-screening products.
A day in the life
- Partnering with clinical, regulatory, product, and sales colleagues to craft messaging that explains complex science in clear, compelling ways for primary-care physicians, oncologists, and laboratory staff.
- Designing and running integrated campaigns-both in-person and digital-that reach defined customer segments, then measuring results and refining the next wave of outreach.
- Briefing and guiding external creative agencies to produce launch materials, patient-journey tools, and educational content that support FDA submissions and real-world adoption.
Who you are
You bring at least ten years of product-marketing experience, ideally within diagnostics or healthcare, and you are comfortable translating intricate clinical data into stories that resonate with busy clinicians. A bachelor’s degree in an analytical, technical, or scientific field is required; an MBA is viewed as a strong plus. You have marketed to providers in primary care, preventative health, or oncology, and you understand the nuances of in-vitro diagnostics and laboratory-developed tests. Exceptional communication skills, proven cross-functional leadership, and an entrepreneurial comfort with ambiguity round out your profile. English fluency is essential.
Why you'll love it here
The base salary range for this position is $197,200 – $304,000. In addition, you will receive pre-IPO equity, cash bonus opportunities, medical insurance, and the flexibility of hybrid work. You will join a mission-driven culture that values respect, collaboration, and the belief that every data point can help save a life.
