Cortex serves as the enterprise Internal Developer Portal designed to streamline engineering excellence. Organizations such as Blackstone, Xero, and Fanatics rely on our platform to simplify complex workflows by providing a unified interface for all engineering tools, templates, and tasks. By offering visibility into the health and status of every software component, we empower engineering teams to boost productivity, manage technical debt, and build efficient software. We are a team of approximately 100 people, and we recently secured $60 million in Series C funding to continue shaping the future of developer experience. As we grow, we are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our fully remote team.
Key outcomes
- Define and execute our comprehensive product marketing strategy, encompassing market research, competitive analysis, and core messaging.
- Collaborate with Product Management to influence the roadmap and ensure the successful launch and adoption of new features.
- Equip our Sales team with high-impact collateral, case studies, and enablement materials that clearly articulate our value.
- Refine our targeting by leading customer segmentation and persona development efforts.
- Manage our presence in analyst relations and spearhead thought leadership initiatives.
- Analyze the performance of marketing activities to refine our approach and drive measurable results.
- Scale the product marketing function by building and mentoring a high-performing team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in product marketing, ideally within the B2B SaaS sector, with a preference for backgrounds in developer tools or infrastructure.
- Proven success in managing messaging frameworks, executing product launches, and driving go-to-market strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Sales, Product, and Customer Success departments.
- Strong expertise in storytelling, positioning, and market research.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible narratives.
- Experience in leadership and team development.
Compensation
The base salary for this position ranges from $205,000 to $245,000. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
