We’re looking for a Director of Product Design to lead the experience vision for GoFundMe’s enterprise software, helping thousands of nonprofits build stronger connections with their supporters through intuitive, high-impact tools.
Responsibilities
- Build and lead a diverse team of product designers, ensuring consistent delivery of meaningful work.
- Mentor designers and design managers, supporting their growth and helping them achieve greater impact.
- Shape a strong design culture that maintains high standards and elevates product quality across the organization.
- Define experience vision, set roadmaps, establish priorities, and oversee design delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Champion design excellence throughout GoFundMe and collaborate with leadership to refine long-term experience strategy, design systems, and internal processes.
- Partner with product and engineering leaders to align design efforts with business goals.
- Contribute to sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top design talent.
Must-haves
- 10+ years of product design experience, including visual and interaction design for software products.
- 5+ years leading design teams in a SaaS environment.
- Experience working across both B2B and B2C markets, with an understanding of the distinct needs of each.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, including the ability to engage executives, stakeholders, and present at public events.
- Ability to balance business objectives, user needs, and team considerations while clearly articulating design decisions and vision.
- User-centered mindset with a track record of empathetic, thoughtful design.
- Fluency in English.
Nice-to-haves
- Deep experience with e-commerce platforms, site builders such as Wix or Shopify, and SaaS admin tools.

The total annual salary range for this full-time position is $260,000 - $350,000 + equity + benefits.
