Director of Platform Engineering at Veo

The role

We are looking for a Director of Platform Engineering to join our team in Denmark on a full-time, on-site basis. In this leadership position, you will oversee our deeply technical engineering teams and manage the foundation upon which all our products are built. You will be responsible for defining our infrastructure strategy and scaling the development platform, ensuring that our engineers have the tools they need to innovate within our core product pillars.

Core responsibilities

• Shape our scalable technology platform while optimizing the software development lifecycle across the entire engineering organization.
• Hire, motivate, and coach top-tier engineering talent while managing budgets for staff, infrastructure, and essential tools.
• Propagate a DevSecOps mindset and facilitate critical operational areas including security, business continuity, and on-call rotations.

Skills and experience

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership capability. We are looking for someone who brings the following:

• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure and architecture at scale, combined with a solid hands-on engineering background.
• Proven leadership experience at the director level or higher, with a focus on building and operating large-scale platforms.
• Practical knowledge of video processing, computer vision, or machine learning inference at scale.
• Comprehensive verbal and written communication skills in English.
• An approachable, growth-oriented mindset that contributes to an inclusive and innovative team spirit.
