Job Description:
We are looking for a Director of Marketing who will have a rare opportunity to help define and refine distribution channels for our company over the next 24 months and well beyond.  Working side-by-side with the founding team, this person will be a key contributor to building out the marketing and go-to-market function at Koop.  Specifically, the candidate will:
• Take full ownership of the marketing function and go-to-market strategy, encompassing lead generation, distribution channel management, customer profiling, product messaging, content generation, and sales performance metrics
• Manage a stack of marketing tools that will drive sales conversion and increase the distribution team’s efficiency
• Generate engaging content that will promote direct and indirect demand generation
•Define and execute the SEO strategy to increase organic and paid web conversion
• Set and track KPIs for individual distribution channels and the Distribution team overall
• Collect performance data from all distribution channels for data-driven decision-making
• Collaborate closely with the Product team on sales-proofing new feature requests
• Report to and work closely with the C-Suite of the company
• Be a subject matter expert and thought leader in the GRC (Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance), security, and insurance areas
• Represent Koop Technologies and own the emerging risks narratives
You will join a team of product builders, software engineers, quantitative modelers, insurance professionals, and emerging risks visionaries, all bound together by an incredible drive to define, build, and scale the pioneering preventive insurance platform for the tech sector.
Job Requirements:
• Experience in marketing, sales, or go-to-market at a tech company
• Experience with insurtech, compliance automation, or regulated industries products
• Solid understanding of the general B2B market structure and dynamics
• Strong knowledge of customer profiles in the B2B SME space
• Strong knowledge of the product and ability to reason from the first principles
• Ability to keep a sharp focus on the priority deliverables
• Founder mindset, great taste, tremendous work ethic, and excellent written/verbal skills
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of marketing or GTM experience at a B2B SaaS, insurtech, or fintech company in a mid-to-senior-level role with a track record of topline growth
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Arts, Science, or related academic fields
• Excellent project or program management skills
• Excellent communication and written skills
