ConvertKit is a platform built for creators, by creators. We are on a mission to help authors, podcasters, YouTubers, and coaches earn a living by growing and monetizing their audiences. As a fully remote and independent company, we pride ourselves on a culture that values emotional intelligence, radical candor, and a shared commitment to our mission. We are looking for someone who believes in our vision to join our team and help us reach our goal of helping creators earn one billion dollars.
What is this role?
We are seeking a Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a senior-level position where you will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. You will be responsible for driving brand awareness, attracting new customers, and overseeing the adoption of our Creator Network. We are looking for a proactive leader with significant experience managing teams in a SaaS environment who is ready to help us scale our impact.
What will you do?
- Develop and execute marketing strategy: You will build a cohesive plan to reach professional creators, ensuring our top-line goals are met while communicating strategic insights across the organization.
- Analyze trends and iterate: By monitoring the competitive landscape and industry shifts, you will ensure our marketing remains agile and innovative while using data to test hypotheses and scale successful efforts.
- Manage and collaborate: You will lead your team by setting clear priorities, managing bandwidth, and working cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, and Customer Experience to execute our go-to-market plans.
What makes you a great fit?
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in SaaS marketing and a deep understanding of product marketing principles. We value candidates who are fluent in data analysis and can translate customer insights into actionable strategies. You should be comfortable with data-driven decision making and have a proven track record of managing teams of eight or more people. We are looking for someone who values continuous improvement, maintains a growth mindset, and is capable of building nimble systems that balance thoughtfulness with speed.
What's in it for you?
We offer a standardized salary of $215,000 USD for this position, regardless of your location. In addition to competitive pay, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and professional growth:
- Profit sharing and equity compensation.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
- Twenty days of paid time off, plus ten paid holidays and an annual winter break.
- An annual learning and development budget of $3,500.
- Equipment allowance for your home office setup.
- Paid parental leave, childcare benefits, and support for mental health.
- A paid four-week sabbatical after five years of service.
Our hiring process includes a phone screen, a series of interviews with the hiring manager and the team, and a working session to discuss your technical expertise. We aim to keep you informed at every step and will follow up with you within two weeks of your application. We encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single requirement, as we view our job postings as the beginning of a conversation.
