Manticore Games is currently seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative marketing leader to join our team as we prepare to launch our latest action-packed, combat-focused MMO. We are looking for a hands-on executive who is ready to make a significant impact on our business. In this role, you will oversee our go-to-market strategy, product positioning, branding, and user acquisition efforts. You will collaborate closely with departments across our entire organization to ensure the success of our new title. While our headquarters are based in San Mateo, California, this position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere.
Key outcomes
- Design and lead comprehensive marketing strategies, including the execution of all go-to-market activities for our new MMO.
- Develop core product positioning, messaging, and branding to define our value proposition.
- Execute viral marketing campaigns that leverage network aggregation to reach our target audiences.
- Build and deploy grassroots marketing and community management programs to drive player engagement and acquisition.
- Partner with our product and finance teams to manage marketing budgets effectively while driving revenue and growth.
- Oversee public relations and communications to strengthen our corporate and product presence.
- Conduct and direct market, competitive, and user research to inform our strategy.
- Analyze marketing performance across all channels to identify optimization opportunities and maximize results.
Requirements
- Over 10 years of experience in full-stack marketing and senior leadership, preferably within the gaming, social media, or technology sectors.
- A deep understanding of and genuine passion for the MMO genre.
- Proven success in bringing products to market and scaling them effectively, with experience in startup environments being a significant advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in launching free-to-play games or marketplaces on PC and console platforms, including experience with Steam and the Epic Games Store.
- A strong background in brand building and storytelling, with a history of creating brand engagement from the ground up.
- Experience managing paid acquisition budgets across multiple channels to achieve sustained growth.
- Proficiency in building reporting dashboards and synthesizing complex data into actionable executive insights.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $205,000 per year, supplemented by equity and a comprehensive benefits package. Our total rewards include:
