We are looking for a Director of Marketing Newsletters to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. SmartAsset is a leading online destination for financial advice, reaching 69 million monthly users through our educational content and tools, and we are recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the industry with a valuation exceeding $1 billion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to drive revenue growth across our three primary newsletters.
- Analyze campaign and channel performance to implement data-driven improvements and optimizations.
- Oversee inbox placement and deliverability to ensure our email programs remain highly effective.
- Expand our subscriber base by identifying and improving new acquisition channels.
- Manage our testing roadmap, from initial opportunity sizing to final analysis and implementation.
- Optimize house advertisements within our newsletters to maximize engagement and yield.
- Create revenue projections and provide regular performance reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Streamline internal workflows to increase overall team efficiency.
Must-haves
- At least 7 years of experience in managing marketing campaigns, including content creation, segmentation, and iterative testing.
- Deep expertise in email marketing tactics and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-backed decisions.
- Proficiency with automated marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Iterable, or Blueshift.
- Experience using Google Analytics or similar web analytics tools.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft compelling marketing copy.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working in both B2C and B2B marketing environments.
- Prior experience working with Pardot.
- A strong ability to prioritize tasks effectively within a dynamic startup setting.

The salary range for this role is $95,000 to $140,000 per year.
