CredLens is a national data trust dedicated to providing verified outcome insights for non-degree credentials. We serve a wide array of stakeholders, including policymakers, funders, and credential issuers, by bridging the critical data gaps that often hinder the scaling of their impact. While we operate with the urgency and ambition of a fast-paced startup, we are a mission-driven non-profit at our core. We believe that high-quality data can illuminate career paths and fundamentally change lives. We are currently looking for an execution-focused Director of Marketing and Communications to join our team in a hybrid capacity within the United States. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Communications and serve as a key individual contributor responsible for shaping our narrative, driving our messaging strategy, and leading our go-to-market content efforts.
Key outcomes
- Refine and activate our established narrative framework to ensure consistent, high-quality storytelling across all stakeholder materials.
- Develop and maintain precise messaging for diverse audiences, including partners, policymakers, and data users.
- Partner with senior leadership to craft executive presentations, remarks, and briefing materials that elevate our public presence.
- Lead the collection and synthesis of competitive intelligence to inform our market positioning and strategic content.
- Manage a centralized repository of facts and proof points to ensure data integrity across all public-facing communications.
- Drive the ideation and creation of content for product launches and organizational initiatives.
- Create essential sales and partner enablement collateral, such as pitch decks, case studies, and one-pagers.
- Collaborate with the Customer Success team to develop onboarding resources, usage guides, and impact summaries that drive product adoption and retention.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative market insights into actionable improvements for our communications strategy.
Requirements
- Seven or more years of progressive experience in strategic communications, product marketing, or marketing communications, preferably within the SaaS, data, education, or non-profit sectors.
- A proven track record of successful go-to-market execution and data-informed storytelling.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize competitive market intelligence into clear positioning.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex or technical data into persuasive, accessible messaging.
- A bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
- A deep commitment to our mission of improving education-to-employment outcomes and an equity-minded approach to strategy.
- The ability to work independently as a proactive, strategic executor who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Preferred qualifications
- A master’s degree.
- Experience with information architecture, nomenclature, and taxonomy.
Compensation
We offer a hybrid work environment that supports a healthy work-life balance.
