We are Modern Animal, a mission-driven company dedicated to transforming the veterinary experience. We are looking for an experienced Director of Growth Marketing to join our team on a full-time basis. In this highly visible, cross-functional role, you will own our paid acquisition, website, and member activation channels. You will be responsible for building a comprehensive, multi-channel strategy to help us reach our ambitious national growth goals. This is a unique opportunity for a player-coach to shape our growth marketing function and make a significant impact at a fast-growing company. You will report to the VP of Marketing and work from our headquarters in Culver City, California, with a hybrid schedule that offers flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee all aspects of our growth marketing tactics, including paid acquisition, website optimization, customer lifecycle programs, and SEO strategies to support our clinics.
- Establish clear KPIs and forecasting models while building a robust attribution and measurement system to report on campaign performance.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire the growth team to foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and transparency while driving customer lifetime value.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of relevant B2C growth or performance marketing experience, ideally within a high-growth startup environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of people management experience, with a proven track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Deep expertise in marketing measurement, conversion tracking, and web attribution.
- A creative, analytical mindset with the ability to build high-impact campaigns and make data-driven decisions in fast-moving environments.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and finance teams.
What we offer
