We are currently looking for a talented Director of Event Marketing to join our marketing team in Montreal. Lightspeed powers the businesses that drive the global economy, providing an all-in-one commerce platform that helps merchants simplify their operations, scale their reach, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Founded in Montreal in 2005, we have grown into a global company listed on both the NYSE and TSX, supporting retailers, restaurateurs, and golf course operators in over 100 countries. If you are ready to lead the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact events that drive engagement and growth across the North American retail sector, we would love to hear from you.
Key outcomes
- Develop and execute comprehensive event strategies to increase registrations and conversions within the North American retail market.
- Manage the end-to-end logistics of both digital and physical events, including venue selection, vendor coordination, and on-site execution.
- Drive organizational objectives, including the generation of marketing-qualified leads, sales-qualified leads, and customer wins.
- Collaborate across internal teams, including design, sales, and partnerships, to ensure a seamless brand experience.
- Execute multi-channel digital campaigns using email, social media, and SEO to promote events and maximize attendance.
- Oversee event budgets, negotiate contracts with external suppliers, and ensure all activities remain within financial constraints.
- Analyze event performance data and gather attendee feedback to measure success and refine future strategies.
- Create compelling marketing content that aligns with our brand identity across websites, social media, and post-event communications.
Requirements
- Three to five years of professional experience in event marketing or project management, ideally within the retail industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or business administration.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing tools and platforms, including Google Analytics, CRM systems, and event management software.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and a talent for creating engaging content.
- Full professional proficiency in both English and French.
- Availability to travel throughout North America for approximately 10 to 12 days per month to support on-site event delivery.
Preferred qualifications
- Professional certifications in event management.
