We are Scholar Rock, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering and delivering life-changing therapies for patients facing serious diseases with high unmet needs. As a global leader in the biology of the TGFβ superfamily, we utilize our proprietary platform to develop novel monoclonal antibodies that modulate protein growth factors with remarkable selectivity. Our work has already led to clinical proof of concept in spinal muscular atrophy, and we are currently advancing a pipeline that addresses neuromuscular disorders, cardiometabolic conditions, and cancer. We are looking for a strategic and analytical leader to join us as our Director of Early Pipeline Commercialization, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our future and influencing the trajectory of our upcoming product launches.
What you'll be doing
- You will act as the primary commercial voice on our asset teams, collaborating closely with R&D, clinical development, regulatory, and finance departments to ensure our programs are aligned with market needs.
- You will lead the evaluation of early pipeline opportunities by conducting in-depth landscape assessments and synthesizing competitive intelligence to define target product profiles and value propositions.
- You will design and execute market research initiatives to inform portfolio prioritization and indication selection, ultimately guiding critical go or no-go decisions for our pipeline assets.
What you'll bring
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector, specifically within new product planning, commercialization, or strategy. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a life science or business-related field, with an MBA, PharmD, or other advanced degree highly preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the industry, ideally with exposure to therapeutic areas such as oncology, neurology, or rare diseases.
- Expertise in market research methodologies, competitive intelligence gathering, and landscape evaluation.
- A strategic mindset paired with the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners.
- Fluency in English and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Familiarity with clinical development processes, regulatory requirements, and global market access dynamics is considered a significant asset.
What you'll get
We are committed to supporting our team members through a flexible work environment that balances professional impact with personal well-being.
- The opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity, providing you with flexibility in your work location.
- A high-visibility role where your strategic contributions will directly influence the success of our company’s first commercial launches.
- The chance to work within a collaborative, inclusive culture that values diverse perspectives and innovative thinking.
