The opportunity

We are seeking a Director of Design to become a core member of our development leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Creative Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic direction. You will be responsible for our Design and UI teams, ensuring we have the right talent, methodologies, and tools to achieve our creative goals. This role is about more than just oversight. It is about championing design excellence, balancing quality with project constraints, and mentoring the next generation of creative leaders. Whether you choose to work from our studio or opt for a hybrid arrangement, you will be instrumental in solving complex creative challenges and ensuring our games continue to set the standard for the industry.

A day in the life

• You will collaborate with senior leadership on departmental planning, recruitment, and long-term succession strategies to ensure our teams remain strong and capable.
• You will act as a champion for the design vision across all projects, prioritizing the player experience and ensuring that our quality standards are consistently met.
• You will provide direct mentorship and management to your team members, fostering a high-performance culture through regular coaching, feedback, and career development support.

Who you are

You are an experienced leader with a proven track record of shipping successful game projects on both console and PC platforms. You possess a deep understanding of game mechanics, player psychology, and the nuances of engagement. Because you will be working across various departments, your communication skills are top-tier, allowing you to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution. You are a natural problem solver who remains calm under pressure, and you have a genuine passion for the evolving landscape of game design. Fluency in English is essential for this role, as you will be leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders across our studio.
