Director of Design at Grow Therapy

Since our launch in 2021, we have supported over ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country. With over $178 million in funding from prominent investors like Sequoia Capital and TCV, we are looking for a visionary Director of Design to help us scale our impact. Please note that this role is based on-site in either the New York City or San Francisco metropolitan areas.

What you'll be doing

• You will define and execute the product design roadmap, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders in engineering, product, and branding to shape the experience for both our users and providers.
• You will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers, fostering a collaborative culture while establishing the design principles and processes necessary to deliver world-class experiences.
• You will spearhead our continuous discovery and user research initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform design decisions that directly improve patient and provider outcomes.

What you'll bring

To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep background in design leadership and a passion for mental health technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:

• At least 10 years of experience designing user-centered web and mobile experiences, with a proven ability to impact business results.
• A minimum of 5 years of management experience, specifically leading design and research teams within a cross-functional environment.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to solve complex problems and your expertise in modern design systems.
• Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
• A track record of navigating ambiguity and taking new products from discovery to market.
