Our technology-driven marketplace empowers providers and helps patients access high-quality mental healthcare, a mission that has become increasingly vital as the need for accessible support continues to rise. Since our launch in 2021, we have supported over ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country. With over $178 million in funding from prominent investors like Sequoia Capital and TCV, we are looking for a visionary Director of Design to help us scale our impact. Please note that this role is based on-site in either the New York City or San Francisco metropolitan areas.
What you'll be doing
- You will define and execute the product design roadmap, collaborating closely with cross-functional leaders in engineering, product, and branding to shape the experience for both our users and providers.
- You will lead, mentor, and inspire a team of product designers, fostering a collaborative culture while establishing the design principles and processes necessary to deliver world-class experiences.
- You will spearhead our continuous discovery and user research initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform design decisions that directly improve patient and provider outcomes.
What you'll bring
To be successful in this role, you should possess a deep background in design leadership and a passion for mental health technology. We are looking for the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of experience designing user-centered web and mobile experiences, with a proven ability to impact business results.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience, specifically leading design and research teams within a cross-functional environment.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to solve complex problems and your expertise in modern design systems.
- Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, product managers, and senior leadership.
- A track record of navigating ambiguity and taking new products from discovery to market.
What you'll get
