What is this role?
We are searching for a Director of Communications to join our team in New York. This is a full-time, on-site position and represents our very first dedicated communications hire. You will work directly with our founder to shape our narrative, amplify our vision, and ensure our story reaches the right audiences. This role is perfect for a seasoned leader who is tech-minded and eager to apply their strategic expertise to a high-impact, mission-driven startup environment.
What will you do?
- Design and execute high-level initiatives to boost our visibility within the healthcare and life sciences industries.
- Uncover compelling stories about our innovations and determine the most effective ways to share them, whether through scientific papers, op-eds, or public events.
- Collaborate with our design, product, and business development teams to create cohesive brand strategies that support our long-term business goals and product launches.
What makes you a great fit?
You should have at least 3 years of experience in strategic communications, ideally within a mission-driven organization. We are looking for someone who is naturally extroverted, possesses a go-getter attitude, and communicates with absolute clarity. Because we operate in a fast-paced environment, you must be comfortable prioritizing multiple projects while working both independently and across various internal departments. While not required, previous experience in the health and life sciences sector is highly valued. You must be fluent in English and legally authorized to work in the United States.
