About the Role

We are seeking a Director of Communications and Content to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. In this leadership role, you will act as the primary steward of the Tropic brand and voice. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication and content strategies that position us as the premier thought leader in the spend management space. This role is perfect for a resilient, innovative leader who is ready to shape how we connect with finance, procurement, and IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cohesive communication strategy that aligns with our business goals and effectively reaches our internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead our public relations and media relations efforts, including managing press releases, crisis communications, and identifying opportunities for speaking engagements and awards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality, full-funnel content, such as research reports, blogs, newsletters, and social media campaigns, while ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a field such as English, journalism, communication, or advertising.
• At least 7 years of experience in copywriting, journalism, or internal and external communications, with specific experience in the SaaS industry.
• Proven leadership ability, including experience managing direct reports and working closely with executive stakeholders.
• Strong technical and creative writing skills, a deep understanding of SEO best practices, and proficiency with both traditional and digital communication platforms.

Location

This position is remote and open to candidates based anywhere in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits
