What is this role?
We are looking for a visionary Director of Marketing Communications to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position perfect for a leader who has a proven track record of scaling brands within a high-growth environment. You will report directly to the VP of Marketing and play a central role in defining our global brand narrative, increasing our market awareness, and fueling our expansion. This is a hybrid role, and you will need to be in our San Jose office at least one day per week.
What will you do?
- Lead Global Brand Strategy: You will define and champion our brand identity, ensuring that our messaging remains consistent and aligned with our core values across all global channels.
- Drive Content and Digital Innovation: You will oversee our digital marketing ecosystem and develop compelling content that translates complex scientific information into persuasive narratives for healthcare professionals, hospital executives, and patients.
- Manage Teams and Partnerships: You will mentor a high-performing marketing team while managing relationships with external agencies and vendors to ensure our communications initiatives are executed effectively and within budget.

To be successful in this role, you should be a strategic thinker who is comfortable taking a hands-on approach. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in marketing communications, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device, healthcare technology, or surgical robotics industry.
- Deep expertise in brand strategy, content development, and digital marketing, including a strong grasp of Account-Based Marketing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences, including C-suite executives.
- A data-driven mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hyper-growth environment.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- The ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
