At Volta Medical, we are driven by a mission to transform interventional cardiac electrophysiology through data-inspired AI software. Our team of over 100 collaborators across the US and Europe is building a unique ecosystem that enriches lab data to power physician-validated machine learning solutions. Our flagship technology, the Volta AF-Xplorer, integrates seamlessly into clinical workflows to provide tailored support for complex atrial fibrillation and atrial tachycardia procedures. We value pioneers who strive for excellence and collaborate across disciplines to improve the lives of patients.
The role
We are seeking a senior-level Director, Market Access & Reimbursement to join our team on a full-time, remote basis. This is a strategic leadership position for an individual who can navigate complex policy landscapes and drive initiatives that ensure our innovative technologies reach the patients who need them most. You will have the opportunity to work from anywhere, with 15 to 20 percent of your time dedicated to domestic and international travel.
Core responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive CMS strategy to maximize patient access while advising on critical coverage, coding, and payment pathways for our products.
- Analyze and interpret the business implications of emerging payer policies, pricing trends, and the competitive landscape to inform our internal strategy.
- Collaborate across a matrixed organization and with external stakeholders, including physician societies and government forums, to build consensus and advocate for our value propositions.
Skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in global healthcare systems and reimbursement, ideally with specific experience in electrophysiology. We look for candidates who demonstrate:
- Deep familiarity with Medicare reimbursement, including the processes for CPT, ICD-10, NTAP, and Pass-Through payment applications.
- Exceptional project management and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex Medicare and commercial datasets into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, allowing you to influence internal and external audiences and clearly articulate complex policy issues.
- A proven track record of building credible relationships and successfully engaging with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
- A BA or BS degree is required, while an advanced degree in public policy, health policy, or public health is highly preferred.
Compensation and benefits
We are committed to supporting our team members through a flexible work environment. This position offers the benefit of remote work, allowing you to contribute to our mission from anywhere.
How to apply
If you are a collaborative leader who is passionate about shaping the future of cardiac care, we invite you to apply. Our recruitment process includes a 30-minute phone interview with our HR team, followed by 60-minute interviews with our SVP of Global Marketing, our CEO and CMO, and finally, members of our Board. We believe diversity is a core strength and encourage all qualified candidates to reach out to us.
