The role
We are hiring a Director of Ecommerce to join us full time in a hybrid capacity. This director-level position reports directly to the Co-founder and CMO and leads all on-site merchandising, UX, and performance efforts from our NYC Flatiron office.
Core responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall ecommerce strategy across site merchandising, user experience, and digital performance so every customer interaction supports revenue growth, higher average order value, and improved conversion.
- Lead, mentor, and develop an agile team responsible for day-to-day site merchandising, content updates, and campaign execution while aligning their work with broader brand and business goals.
- Own the end-to-end customer journey on-site, continuously spotting friction points, shaping product discovery and upsell opportunities, and running a structured testing program that turns data into measurable lifts.
Skills and experience
- Seven or more years of hands-on ecommerce or site merchandising experience, preferably with a consumer or direct-to-consumer brand.
- Proven success managing and mentoring a team while coordinating complex, cross-functional projects and timelines.
- Strong command of storytelling, UX principles, and data analysis, paired with practical experience using Shopify or similar CMS platforms, Google Analytics, heat-mapping tools, and A/B testing frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset that embodies our core values and works seamlessly with Brand, Growth, Product Development, and CX teams.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and full professional fluency in English.
