About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site executive leadership position. You will serve as the primary liaison between the design team and our cross-functional partners, ensuring that our creative output is both high-quality and delivered with efficiency. You will lead the day-to-day operations of our product design function, managing complex work streams, assessing capacity, and fostering a positive, high-performing environment. Because you have a background in design, you will bring deep empathy for the creative process while acting as the operational backbone that keeps our projects on track and our stakeholders informed.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee concurrent projects across the entire product design team, ensuring accountability for timelines, deliverables, and design consistency.
- Serve as a strategic bridge between Design, Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing to align interdependencies and support successful go-to-market efforts.
- Manage the operational health of the design organization, including budget forecasting, vendor contract management, and the implementation of best-in-class process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in product design operations, specifically within successful consumer-facing brands.
- A minimum of 5 years in design leadership roles, with a preference for those who have operated at the Director level or within advanced project management functions.
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in people management, with specific experience in coaching, developing, and recruiting design talent.
- Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders, including Chief Product Officers, and drive consensus across highly cross-functional teams.
- Experience leading other leaders and navigating ambiguous problem spaces to deliver tangible business results.
