What is this role?

We are seeking a Director, AI to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This is a senior-level leadership position designed for an experienced professional who is ready to guide our AI strategy and research. You will play a central role in our engineering organization, overseeing the development of advanced systems that drive user engagement and deliver personalized care at scale.

What will you do?

• Define our AI roadmap: You will set the strategic direction for our machine learning solutions, ensuring we stay at the forefront of the industry while pushing for new, publishable innovations.
• Build scalable infrastructure: You will lead the development of a high-performance, user-centric machine learning platform that allows for flexible and secure AI adoption across our entire organization.
• Champion ethical standards: You will be responsible for creating robust safety and quality controls for AI, ensuring our tools are reliable and effective for mental health support through both automated and human-in-the-loop mechanisms.

• Extensive leadership experience: You have over 10 years of experience managing high-performing teams in AI, machine learning, or data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful solutions.
• Technical expertise: You are comfortable with modern machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow and have hands-on experience deploying solutions within cloud environments, preferably AWS.
• Strategic mindset: You can translate complex technical capabilities into clear business objectives, and you have experience building out data pipelines and evaluation systems that ensure long-term performance.
• Collaborative spirit: You thrive when working across departments, partnering with clinicians, product designers, and other stakeholders to create real-world impact.
• Domain knowledge: While not strictly required, experience in consumer-facing health tech or clinical settings is highly valued.
