Developer Advocate at Prefect

What you bring

We are seeking a mid-level Developer Advocate to join our marketing team on a full-time, remote basis. You will play a vital role in connecting with the data engineering community, using your expertise in SQL, Python, Docker, and Kubernetes to bridge the gap between our technology and the developers who use it. Your daily contributions will center on three core responsibilities:

• Producing high-quality technical content, such as tutorials and thought leadership pieces, that showcases the capabilities of our platform.
• Engaging directly with the developer community across various channels to gather feedback and advocate for our product in an authentic way.
• Collaborating with our internal engineering and product teams to ensure our documentation and technical messaging remain accurate and user-focused.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is a talented communicator who excels at simplifying complex technical concepts for a broader audience. You should have a strong background in technical writing and developer relations, supported by at least two years of professional experience in engineering or a related field. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in the spotlight, enjoys participating in industry conversations, and possesses a deep understanding of data engineering workflows. Proficiency in English is required, as you will be crafting content and representing our brand at conferences and meetups.

What we offer
