Designer at Make

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join our team on a full-time basis. At Make, we are an AI-first design and engineering agency that builds award-winning software. Our work has reached billions of people and earned features in outlets like TechCrunch and CBS News. We pride ourselves on being trusted advisors to our clients, turning complex ideas into beautiful, functional products that engineers can build with confidence. This is a remote position available to anyone, though you should be able to overlap with Central Time for 2 to 5 hours each day. We are looking to fill this role with an anticipated start window in Q2 2026.

Responsibilities

• Lead design review meetings with stakeholders to ensure all decisions are clearly documented and actionable.
• Translate client requirements into high-quality design deliverables that support our engineering teams throughout the development process.
• Integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to speed up research, ideation, and the overall iteration process.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have extensive experience designing software products that have successfully shipped to production. We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency with Figma for interface and product design.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead client-facing presentations and extract clear requirements from stakeholders.
• A proactive, ownership-driven mindset and the ability to manage design tasks across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools like Cursor.
• A collaborative spirit, specifically regarding how you partner with engineering and delivery teams to prevent bottlenecks.
