We are looking for someone who shares our passion for sports and visual journalism to help us continue delivering premium content to our community.

What is this role?

We are looking for a Junior Editorial Designer to join our expanding Design and Visuals team on a full-time basis. This is a remote position available to candidates based in the United States or Canada. You will report directly to our Editorial Design Manager and play a key role in bringing our award-winning journalism to life. Please note that this position requires availability from Tuesday through Saturday, specifically from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with our editorial staff to elevate our articles, newsletters, social media presence, and audio experiences through custom artwork and design templates.
• Create bespoke hero images for stories and social media posts on a daily basis by blending photography, typography, and vector elements.
• Manage our library of editorial and social templates, which includes performing regular audits and designing new assets as our needs evolve.
• Oversee project-based work, such as commissioning freelance illustrators to produce original artwork for our podcast network.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a creative professional with 1 to 4 years of experience working in a newsroom, agency, or a similar fast-paced environment. You have a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage your time effectively across multiple workstreams. We are looking for someone who is highly proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. If you have additional experience in data visualization or motion design, we would love to see those skills in your portfolio. Strong communication skills and a genuine familiarity with the world of sports will help you succeed in this role.
