Xero provides a beautiful, intuitive platform that empowers small businesses, their advisors, and communities to thrive globally. We are looking for a Senior Design Researcher to join our team in Australia on a full-time, hybrid basis to help us shape the future of small business technology.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex generative and evaluative research projects using a diverse range of quantitative and qualitative methods.
- Design and implement robust quantitative studies to inform critical product decisions.
- Manage the end-to-end research lifecycle, including recruitment, scheduling, and logistical coordination.
- Synthesize complex data into clear, actionable narratives for product teams and executive leadership.
- Facilitate professional research sessions that prioritize unbiased observation and ethical participant engagement.
- Partner with product and design leaders to identify research opportunities that improve the customer journey.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration by hosting workshops and building strong relationships with developers, product managers, and strategists.
- Mentor team members on research best practices and contribute to the overall growth of our UX capabilities.
- Ensure all research is conducted with integrity, inclusivity, and a focus on minimizing bias.
Must-haves
- Extensive experience in quantitative and qualitative research within a product-focused environment.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and the ability to translate insights into meaningful product recommendations.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and manage project lifecycles independently.
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with a focus on presenting to executive stakeholders.
- A collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English.
