We are Triple Whale, a leading provider of business intelligence for the e-commerce sector. Our platform tracks over $30 billion in annual online commerce for more than 11,000 customers worldwide. We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Design Researcher to join our remote, multidisciplinary product team and help us build the future of e-commerce operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead user research initiatives across our financial and operational product lines.
- Serve as the primary advocate for the user within our software development team.
- Design and execute human-centered research, guiding internal and partner teams through fieldwork, data analysis, and insight development.
- Integrate qualitative and quantitative data to produce actionable insights that drive product strategy.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to translate research findings into essential digital tools.
- Document and present insights through engaging reports, presentations, and videos.
- Champion design thinking and share research best practices across the organization.
Must-haves
- At least 5 years of experience applying human-centered research methods to guide projects from initial concept to final delivery.
- Proven expertise in scoping research, participant recruitment, fieldwork, interviews, desk research, and synthesis.
- Strong systems thinking skills and the ability to communicate user-driven rationales to stakeholders.
- Experience with digital research methods, including online ethnography, remote studies, and collaborative prototyping.
- Deep knowledge of research methodologies such as usability testing, competitive analysis, surveys, and behavioral analysis.
- Fluency in English and a collaborative, detail-oriented approach to teamwork.
