What is this role?

We are seeking a Lead Design Manager for our EMEA region. This is a full-time position based in the United Kingdom with a hybrid work arrangement. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire design lifecycle for our hyperscale data center projects, ensuring that our high standards are met from the initial due diligence phase all the way through to project handover.

What will you do?

• Take charge of the complete design lifecycle for hyperscale data center projects by managing technical compliance, information management, and the coordination of all consultants and vendors.
• Oversee critical BIM processes, including model coordination, clash detection, and federated model reviews to ensure design accuracy.
• Manage complex planning, permitting, and regulatory requirements across various European markets while supporting our site selection and preconstruction teams.

What makes you a great fit?

To succeed in this role, you should possess a strong background in engineering, architecture, or construction management, supported by at least 10 years of experience with mission-critical facilities or hyperscale data centers. You are an expert in European planning and permitting, with specific experience in Germany or Spain being highly valued. We are looking for someone who brings the following qualities to our team:

• Expertise in BIM and CDE systems, including hands-on proficiency with tools like Navisworks.
• A deep understanding of the integration of mechanical, electrical, and ICT systems.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, allowing you to influence multidisciplinary teams across different cultures.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset with a sharp focus on commercial awareness and technical excellence.
• Fluency in English to effectively manage our regional operations.
