January AI is a pioneering precision health company founded by industry veterans to help people understand their metabolic health through continuous glucose monitoring and personalized data insights. We are looking for a Design Lead to shape our consumer health experiences across our app, website, and physical touchpoints while helping our users build healthier habits every day.
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end design process for our digital products, ensuring a cohesive brand experience from initial concept to final implementation.
- Mentor and manage a small team of designers, providing constructive feedback to maintain a high standard of craft.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and marketers to scope projects and prioritize design efforts that drive business growth.
- Advocate for user-centric design by facilitating cross-functional workshops and integrating user research into our development cycle.
- Elevate our visual and interaction design standards by staying current with industry best practices and emerging trends.
Must-haves
- At least 8 years of professional experience in an in-house product team or a digital design firm.
- Proven track record of managing and supporting the professional growth of other designers.
- Expertise in both visual interaction design and structural product architecture for mobile and web platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects from user research and prototyping through to final implementation.
- Technical proficiency in coding or working closely with developers to build functional prototypes.
- Fluency in English and the ability to work within a hybrid model in the United States.
