Role at a glance
We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing product team in the United Kingdom. This is a full-time, mid-level position that operates on a hybrid basis. You will be a central figure in our product development lifecycle, taking ownership of projects from initial research and prototyping through to final manufacture.
Your impact
- Lead the design and development of multiple R&D projects, ensuring each product meets our high standards from concept to production.
- Manage complex project timelines by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to ensure we hit critical deadlines.
- Collaborate with our production team to oversee the successful launch of new products while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.
What you'll need
We are looking for a hands-on engineer who is ready to dive into our creative process. You should be a strong communicator who can translate technical data into actionable insights for the wider team.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in design engineering, specifically with product development, prototyping, and testing.
- Proven expertise in SolidWorks and proficiency in Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Deep knowledge of injection moulding, DFM features, and various manufacturing processes such as CNC, thermoforming, and sheet metal bending.
- A solid understanding of material properties, including thermoplastics, composites, and metals.
- A track record of managing design solutions that are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specification.
