Over the last decade, we have challenged industry standards by developing products that combine high-performance protection with sleek design, from impact-resistant phone cases to magnetic accessory ecosystems. We are a team that values innovation, grit, and the pursuit of excellence, and we are looking for a talented individual to help us continue building products that empower people to live without limits.

Role at a glance

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing product team in the United Kingdom. This is a full-time, mid-level position that operates on a hybrid basis. You will be a central figure in our product development lifecycle, taking ownership of projects from initial research and prototyping through to final manufacture.

Your impact

  • Lead the design and development of multiple R&D projects, ensuring each product meets our high standards from concept to production.
  • Manage complex project timelines by coordinating with internal stakeholders and external manufacturing partners to ensure we hit critical deadlines.
  • Collaborate with our production team to oversee the successful launch of new products while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

What you'll need

We are looking for a hands-on engineer who is ready to dive into our creative process. You should be a strong communicator who can translate technical data into actionable insights for the wider team.

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in design engineering, specifically with product development, prototyping, and testing.
  • Proven expertise in SolidWorks and proficiency in Excel for reporting and data analysis.
  • Deep knowledge of injection moulding, DFM features, and various manufacturing processes such as CNC, thermoforming, and sheet metal bending.
  • A solid understanding of material properties, including thermoplastics, composites, and metals.
  • A track record of managing design solutions that are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specification.

Perks and compensation

We foster a collaborative and vibrant culture where we value both hard work and enjoying the ride. Our team enjoys a range of benefits designed to support your professional and personal well-being:

  • Hybrid work model with flexible hours.
  • 25 days of paid time off, plus bank holidays.
  • Professional development opportunities to help you grow your career.
  • Employee assistance program.
  • 30% discount on all Mous products.
  • Cycle to Work scheme and an employee pension plan.
  • Access to a perks package featuring discounts on various high street brands.
  • One month of paid leave after five years of service.
