Key outcomes
- Assist our engineering staff with the mechanical design of HVAC, plumbing, and fuel gas systems for a variety of institutional, retail, and commercial projects.
- Create technically sound, cost-effective, and efficient construction documents.
- Coordinate project details with architects, owners, vendors, and building officials throughout the design process.
- Execute essential engineering calculations, including energy modeling, HVAC loads, and ventilation sizing.
- Design and calculate industrial piping systems to meet specific project requirements.
- Support the construction phase by reviewing shop drawings and responding to requests for information from contractors and the design team.
Requirements
- You must be an undergraduate student currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret technical documents and prepare professional reports.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, including the ability to analyze information, identify issues early, and develop effective solutions.
- A commitment to teamwork, including the ability to balance individual tasks with group goals and contribute to a positive team environment.
- A strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
- Fluency in English.
Preferred qualifications
- Practical experience or proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is considered a significant advantage.
