Design Engineer at Baller

At BallerTV, we are dedicated to bringing families and communities together through the power of sports. As the world's most prolific producer of live sports streams, we utilize advanced AI and computer vision technology to broadcast events on a massive scale. We are currently looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join our team on a full-time, on-site basis in Pasadena, California. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between our design and engineering departments, helping us craft a world-class experience for the millions of athletes, coaches, and families who rely on our platform.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the design process from initial concept to final implementation for our consumer-facing products.
• Develop interactive prototypes using Figma to test new ideas, validate user flows, and explore innovative interaction models.
• Perform regular user research and customer interviews to identify key pain points and translate those insights into elegant, intuitive interfaces.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who brings a deep passion for user-centric design and a strong technical mindset. You should possess the following qualifications:

• At least 5 years of professional experience designing consumer-facing digital products, with a focus on mobile-first environments.
• Comprehensive skills in both UX, such as information architecture and usability, and UI, including visual polish and high-fidelity design.
• A robust portfolio that demonstrates your ability to tell a story, solve complex problems, and maintain high standards of craft.
• A strong understanding of mobile app design patterns and the ability to thrive when working through ambiguous challenges.
• Fluency in English and a collaborative spirit that welcomes feedback and rapid iteration.
