Design Engineer, Web at Moderntreasury

Modern Treasury serves as the operating system for money movement. We provide a comprehensive suite of APIs that enable finance and product teams to achieve faster payments, automatic reconciliation, and access to real-time financial data. Our platform automates the entire lifecycle of moving money, covering everything from initial payment requests and approvals to final reconciliation. We are currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, with the option to work on-site in San Francisco or New York, or remotely from various states across the United States.

Key outcomes

• Develop web-native experiences that support our major seasonal marketing initiatives.
• Take a lead role in making technical architecture and infrastructure decisions for our stack, which includes Vercel and Next.js.
• Expand our digital footprint to support new content marketing strategies and SEO goals.
• Improve our web design system and CMS to empower team members with better self-service capabilities.
• Maintain brand consistency by extending our web style guides.
• Write code to implement creative animations and interactive elements.
• Create code-based prototypes and visuals for use in events, on our website, and across other marketing channels.
• Work alongside other engineers to manage and maintain our web platform.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend or design engineering.
• A robust portfolio demonstrating both your technical proficiency and creative application of code.
• Proven experience building and supporting end-to-end websites and interactive marketing landing pages.
• Deep familiarity with our modern frontend stack, specifically React, Next.js, Tailwind, Vercel, and Sanity.
• A demonstrated ability to translate Figma designs into high-quality, web-native experiences.
• Experience connecting web projects to common MarTech tools and APIs, such as HubSpot, PostHog, and Google Analytics.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with motion design and digital storytelling.
• Background in growth engineering, as some of our platform work intersects with these initiatives.
