What is this role?

We are looking for a Design Director to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a senior-level leadership position based in the Netherlands, operating in a hybrid work environment. You will be the owner of our digital experience, ensuring that every touchpoint across our web and mobile platforms is both highly usable and deeply desirable for our customers.

What will you do?

• Define and execute a comprehensive digital experience strategy that aligns with our broader company and product goals.
• Lead, mentor, and coach a talented team of 18 professionals, including UX Designers, UX Researchers, and Product Creative Designers, to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the end-to-end customer journey, collaborating with cross-functional partners in Product and Engineering to optimize every interaction from the initial marketing touchpoint through to product delivery.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a seasoned leader with extensive experience in Product Design, UX Research, and Service Design. To succeed in this role, you should bring the following:

• Proven experience at the Director or Head of level, specifically managing large teams of 15 or more designers and researchers.
• Deep expertise in mobile and web design within an ecommerce or digital product environment.
• Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to advocate for the user and influence stakeholders at the executive level.
• A track record of using data-driven insights to solve complex customer problems and achieve tangible business results.
• Experience with modern design processes, rapid prototyping, and facilitating discovery sessions like Design Sprints.
