Design Director at Titan

Titan is the rebel challenger in a very old industry. The present era is run by ancient players: Fidelity, Schwab, & Goldman Sachs. The problem is that none of them were built on modern rails and have horrible user experiences. There have been new things built (think: “investing apps”). They are either 1) gimmicky casinos or 2) sleepy commodities. We won’t say names. Why hasn’t anyone built a modern Goldman Sachs for everyone? That’s our mission.

We are fighters at heart. We fight to build products that are truly democratized. For example, we launched the first institutional grade cash management product open to everyday investors via Titan Smart Cash. We launched the first ever Venture fund for everyday investors in partnership with Cathie Wood’s ARK. Role Overview

Titan is growing at a rapid pace and design is at the core of what we build. As a Design Director, you’ll help ensure our visual brand identity comes to life holistically and consistently across all touchpoints. You will be at the center of all things design through this new phase of growth within the business.

This role is quite important. Most wealth products from Silicon Valley are homogenous, built for “prosumer” types. Said simply, they come across as money casinos. Titan’s goal is to firmly diverge from this pack and chart a new course for what wealth means in the modern era. We believe design is a critical ingredient to building an iconic brand - you’ll direct how how we unlock this, working closely with our founders. More to be shared during the interview process.

What You'll Do

• Guide and inspire design & brand thinking at Titan while also getting in the weeds everyday to execute a wide range of tactical design projects (think “player-coach”)
• Work closely with key stakeholders to create thoughtful and innovative visual design systems and campaigns across multiple channels, aligning with the Titan’s brand strategy and business goals
• Define and evaluate key metrics and understand their levers
• Leverage crystal clear communication skills, with an aptitude for translating design results into compelling and comprehensible concrete recommendations for the business.
• Ensure consistency and quality work across all channels
• Advocate for design thinking, solutions and consistency for the brand design systems
• Inspire, enable and energize a world-class design team, and cultivate a creative culture

Your Receipts

• 2+ years as a Senior Brand Designer. 5+ years total as a Designer
• 2+ years of management / leadership experience
• Experience building / executing great consumer brands across different mediums (app, billboards, merch, e.t.c)
• Epic brand taste
