Design Director at Fightcamp

FightCamp is a rapidly growing leader in the connected fitness industry, bringing world-class boxing and kickboxing workouts into homes everywhere. With over 30,000 members and more than 1.2 billion punches tracked, we are dedicated to shaping the future of fitness through our innovative hardware and software. We are looking for a Design Director to join our remote team and lead the charge in creating engaging, gamified experiences that keep our users motivated and active.

Responsibilities

• Guide our design team in developing gamification strategies that align with our business goals and user needs.
• Partner with product managers and developers to define requirements, set success metrics, and ensure project alignment.
• Create intuitive user interfaces, feedback systems, and reward structures that enhance the overall user experience.
• Utilize user research, usability testing, and data analysis to iterate on designs and optimize performance.
• Manage team resources, prioritize tasks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality design projects.
• Mentor team members to foster professional growth and maintain a culture of innovation.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in both gamification and UX design.

Must-haves

• Proven experience designing gamified mobile app experiences, supported by a strong portfolio of iOS and Android projects.
• Deep expertise in UX/UI design and a solid understanding of game mechanics and player motivation.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a creative team.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment, including rapid prototyping.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
• Fluency in English.
