Key outcomes
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Denim Designer to manage daily administrative tasks and department workflows.
- Conduct trend research to identify concepts that align with our brand identity and customer preferences.
- Support the design process by assisting with CAD mock-ups, garment mock-ups, and sketching under the guidance of senior staff.
- Research inspiration for novelty trims and maintain organized denim line sheets.
- Assist in the creation of monthly assortment decks and keep digital design decks updated throughout the development cycle.
- Manage the entry of new styles into our PIM system and oversee the organization of design reference samples.
- Participate in fittings, document changes, and help implement updates following those sessions.
- Develop an understanding of denim wash processes to provide meaningful support during development.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
- One to two years of experience within the apparel industry is preferred, though we are open to entry-level candidates.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- A keen eye for color and a strong sense of creative trend awareness.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with our Tech, Production, and Design teams.
- A deep understanding of the Reformation aesthetic and our target customer.
- Ability to work on-site at our Culver City and Vernon offices.
