Picture a small, focused team at Conjecture working at the frontier of AI, helping some of the world’s largest enterprises adopt a new way of building intelligent systems. Our approach, called CoEm, lets companies move beyond off-the-shelf models and instead create solutions that truly understand their own data, workflows, and goals. We are now looking for someone ready to take that approach directly into client organisations and turn promising ideas into working products.
The opportunity
As a Deployed Engineer you will act as the technical lead for your own set of enterprise engagements. You will partner with our Technical Product Managers to diagnose client challenges on site, design tailored solutions grounded in CoEm principles, and deliver production-ready tools that range from data pipelines to web interfaces. In practice you will operate like the CTO of a tiny startup inside each account, owning everything from early architecture conversations to final hand-off, while staying in regular contact with customer executives. Your work will help shape how major organisations adopt a safer, more controllable form of AI.
A day in the life
- Collaborate daily with Technical Product Managers and client stakeholders to map technical problems, sketch architectures, and decide which combination of data sources, APIs, and model components will deliver the fastest value.
- Build and refine end-to-end solutions-wrangling data, integrating external services, coding lightweight front-end interfaces, and iterating quickly on feedback from real users inside the client organisation.
- Develop supporting tooling for model inference, visualisation, and infrastructure so that each deployment is reliable, observable, and easy for the client’s own teams to maintain.
Who you are
You are a senior engineer who has already taken products from zero to one in a client-facing B2B setting. You communicate clearly with both technical and executive audiences, enjoy high-bandwidth teamwork, and move fast without sacrificing quality. You have shipped widely used software, can debug isolated issues one moment and refactor large systems the next, and care more about measurable outcomes than any single framework. You are comfortable travelling to client sites up to 25 percent of the time and are fluent in English. Experience developing custom enterprise solutions, working with PyTorch or Kubernetes, or turning research ideas into production code is valuable but not required; what matters most is your drive to create safe, beneficial AI that scales.
Why you'll love it here
You will join a mission-driven team that is actively shaping how leading enterprises adopt next-generation AI. Every project gives you direct exposure to senior decision-makers, immediate user feedback, and the chance to see your work running in production within weeks rather than months. You will work on varied technical challenges that span machine-learning APIs, web tooling, data infrastructure, and product design, all while contributing to technology intended to steer AI toward positive long-term outcomes for humanity.
