Since our founding in 2009, we have been on a mission to prove that fashion and sustainability can live in harmony. At Reformation, we create vintage-inspired collections that allow our customers to look beautiful while living responsibly. We are proud to operate the first sustainable factory in Los Angeles, where we prioritize eco-friendly fabrics and deadstock materials. Beyond the clothes, we are a future-focused team that believes in solving global challenges through innovation, common sense, and education. We cultivate an inclusive culture where every voice is heard, and we are looking for someone who shares our passion for making a positive impact on the planet.
The opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated Denim Design Assistant to join our in-house denim team. This is a hands-on, full-time role based on-site at our Culver City and Vernon offices. You will play a vital role in keeping our design department running smoothly, providing essential administrative and creative support as we develop our latest collections. This position offers a unique chance for a junior professional to immerse themselves in the fashion industry and gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire design process.
A day in the life
- Collaborate closely with our Senior Denim Designer to manage daily administrative tasks, organize design samples, and maintain accurate updates across our PIM and PLM systems.
- Support the creative vision by assisting with trend research, sketching new concepts, and creating mock-ups using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
- Participate in the development cycle by attending fittings, documenting feedback, and preparing assortment decks to ensure our denim line stays on track.
Who you are
You are a creative individual with a bachelor's degree and a strong desire to grow within the apparel industry. We value candidates who possess a keen eye for color and a deep understanding of the Reformation aesthetic. To be successful in this role, you should have:
- One to two years of experience in the apparel industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with our production and technical teams.
- A highly organized approach to work with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English.
To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter, along with a screenshot of your results from the online X-Rite color test and a single slide showcasing Spring 2025 denim trends relevant to our brand.
Why you'll love it here

- Comprehensive vision and dental insurance.
- Paid time off, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and volunteer time.
- A 401k plan with a company match.
- Perks such as a generous clothing discount, a dog-friendly office, and frequent company events.
