At Spotify, we connect over 625 million listeners worldwide with the audio they love. Our Global On-Platform Marketing team sits at the heart of that mission, shaping how we reach and engage users through owned channels. We're looking for a Data Science Manager to guide a talented group of data scientists who turn our rich data into clear direction for marketing strategy and campaign performance.
What is this role?
This is a full-time, manager-level position on a hybrid schedule. You'll lead a team that supports campaign infrastructure and owned-channel marketing efforts, helping define how we measure success and make decisions across the organization.
What will you do?
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists while shaping the team's long-term roadmap in line with marketing goals.
- Oversee data pipeline development and infrastructure projects that keep our analytics reliable and scalable.
- Design experiments, analyze campaign results, and share clear recommendations with marketing and cross-functional partners.
What makes you a great fit?
You hold a bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field, along with at least five years of experience in data analytics and two or more years managing data science teams. You're fluent in SQL and Python for complex analysis, comfortable running A/B tests and randomized controlled trials, and skilled with visualization tools such as Tableau. You know how to build and schedule data pipelines, communicate findings to varied audiences, and thrive on a globally distributed team working in the Eastern Time Zone. Curiosity, strong collaboration skills, and clear communication are essential. Experience with machine learning techniques like forecasting or feature engineering, or prior work at a consumer tech company, is a plus.
What's in it for you?
The United States base salary range for this role is $140,096.00 - $200,137.00, plus equity. We also offer health insurance, a six-month paid parental leave, a 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, and paid sick leave.
