Data Science Director at Teads

What is this role?

We are seeking a Data Science Director to join us on a full-time basis. This is an executive-level position where you will manage both individual contributors and other managers, reporting directly to a VP. You will act as a thought leader for science innovation, bridging the gap between production-ready AI models and long-term research. This role is available in a hybrid work format and is open to candidates anywhere.

What will you do?

• Drive our long-term AI vision, including the implementation of new machine learning approaches and the integration of generative AI.
• Build, mentor, and support a growing team of data scientists and machine learning engineers within a fast-paced, impact-focused environment.
• Collaborate across teams to design and deploy data science solutions, ensuring our strategy aligns with business objectives and keeps us at the forefront of applied science.

What makes you a great fit?

You are a seasoned technical leader with a proven track record of managing scientists, engineers, and other managers. Your background should blend academic research with the practical application of science to real-world, large-scale problems, specifically in areas like statistics, neural networks, and deep learning. You are comfortable solving ambiguous problems, possess excellent communication skills in English, and have a team-oriented management style that focuses on nurturing talent. Experience in performance-based advertising or connected TV is considered a significant advantage.
