We are DATAPAO, a premier consulting firm specializing in Data Engineering and AI. We are currently seeking a Data Engineering Manager to join our team on a full-time, remote basis in Spain. In this role, you will help us scale our engineering capabilities while working directly with EMEA customers to solve complex challenges in cloud migration, MLOps, and data architecture.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-6 consultants, overseeing their professional growth and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact data projects.
- Maintain a hands-on approach by actively participating in the design and implementation of data engineering, ML, and MLOps solutions for our enterprise clients.
- Drive organizational excellence by identifying and filling gaps in processes, documentation, and resource allocation to ensure our team operates at the highest standard.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a leadership or management capacity, whether through formal roles or by successfully leading project teams and delivery efforts.
- Strong technical background in Data Engineering, with hands-on proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and distributed systems.
- Experience with the big data ecosystem, including Apache Spark, cloud platforms, and modern storage formats like Delta Lake.
- A consultant mindset with a passion for customer experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Fluency in English, which is essential for our collaborative and international work environment.
