At Quandri, we train intelligent robots that automate repetitive work inside insurance brokerages and agencies across North America. Our platform lets software robots step into existing systems and handle high-volume tasks at lightning speed, freeing people to focus on higher-value work. We have already delivered 8× ARR growth, raised backing from leading US and Canadian investors, and are scaling quickly to unlock ten million hours of manual effort over the next three years. We operate on a hybrid model, with two-thirds of the team based in Vancouver and the rest distributed; Vancouver teammates come into our Gastown office three days a week.
What is this role?
We are hiring our first Data Engineer on a full-time basis. The position is open to candidates at the mid-level with three to six years of professional, non-internship experience. You will shape our data engineering standards and infrastructure from day one, working in a hybrid arrangement that blends in-person collaboration with flexible remote options.
What will you do?
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that turn project goals into reliable, production-grade architectures.
- Integrate modern data-management tools into our existing frameworks, establish repeatable extraction and transformation routines, and partner with the Cloud Architect to keep cloud databases healthy and performant.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to refine data models, strengthen our business-intelligence dashboards, and embed quality-control processes that keep data accurate and secure.
What makes you a great fit?
You bring solid hands-on experience with Python and SQL, and you have worked extensively with at least one major cloud platform-AWS, Azure, or GCP. You are comfortable orchestrating pipelines with Apache Airflow (or similar tools), containerizing workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and following CI/CD practices. You know your way around data-visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, and you apply best-practice ETL patterns while keeping security and compliance front of mind. Strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with Git workflows, and an understanding of Agile or Scrum ways of working round out your technical profile. Excellent communication lets you translate complex concepts for colleagues across the business. Above all, you are curious, fast-moving, and eager to act like an owner in a growing company.
What's in it for you?
We offer a salary range of $85,000 to $145,000 CAD per year, plus equity that scales with experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health coverage with a Lifestyle Spending Account, four weeks of paid vacation annually, and the freedom to work from anywhere in the world for up to 60 days each year.
